ژالے سرحدی نے ان نجی شیلٹرز اور این جی اوز کی تعریف کی جو اپنی مدد آپ کے تحت ان معصوم جانوروں کو بچا رہے ہیں۔ یاد رہے کہ حال ہی میں معروف اداکارہ نادیہ جمیل نے بھی لاہور کے ٹاؤن ہال کے باہر احتجاج کیا تھا جہاں کتوں کو بغیر خوراک اور پانی کے گاڑیوں میں بند رکھا گیا تھا۔ جب شہریوں نے انتظامیہ سے بات کی تو انہیں کہا گیا کہ یہ "اوپر سے آرڈرز" ہیں۔ اس کے علاوہ، اس سال کے آغاز میں اداکارہ اشنا شاہ نے بھی پنجاب کی وزیر اعلیٰ مریم نواز کو ایک کھلا خط لکھا تھا، جس میں انہوں نے صوبے میں خواتین کی حفاظت اور صفائی کے اقدامات کو سراہا تھا، لیکن جانوروں پر ہونے والے اس بدترین ظلم پر فوری ایکشن لینے کی اپیل کی تھی۔
